Ms. Cusack’s class have been enjoying learning about vegetables and healthy eating through hands-on fun in our school garden.
The children harvested potatoes and onions from their raised vegetable beds, as you can see in the photographs. Our leeks weren’t quite ready yet, so we’ll have to give them a little more time to grow!
Ms. Cusack then put the harvested vegetables to good use, making a delicious potato and leek soup that all the children enjoyed. What a lovely way to explore where our food comes from and discover the joy of growing, preparing and eating healthy food together!
