3rd to 6th class students went on a local trail to Woodville Garden. We were blessed with beautiful sunshine and had a great day exploring the walled garden. Many thanks to Margarita Donohue for hosting us and providing the tour.
Woodville Garden is a beautiful walled garden located in Loughrea. It is one of the oldest walled gardens in Ireland, dating back to the 17th century. The garden is home to a wide variety of plants, including flowers, shrubs, and trees. There are also several ponds and fountains in the garden.
Our tour of Woodville Garden began with a walk through the walled entrance. As we entered the garden, we were greeted by the sight of a beautiful rose garden. We continued on our walk and explored the different areas of the garden, including the herbaceous border, the vegetable garden, and the orchard.
We had a wonderful day exploring Woodville Garden. We learned a lot about the different types of plants that grow in the garden and we had a lot of fun playing games and having a picnic. We would like to thank Margarita Donohue again for hosting us and providing the tour.
