Religious Education

The Board of Management and the teachers have adopted the Alive –O Catechetical Programme approved and recommended by the Irish Hierarchy for use in Catholic Schools. The programme is taught on a Year 1/Year 2 structure, every second year, to facilitate the class organisation of the school. The programme incorporates the recommended approach to religious education for the reception of the sacraments of Penance, Holy Communion and Confirmation.

Whole School Dimension

The celebration of the Christian Liturgical Seasons is a part of the rhythm of the school year e.g. Advent, Christmas, Lent, Easter. This is reflected in prayer life, liturgies and the observations of feast days. Meaningful pictures and artworks are on display throughout the school building. The school identifies itself with the Parish and Diocesan Communities lending to a sense of the Universal Church.
